Sheeba

Picture
This is Sheeba,
Sheeba is a Coastal Carpet Python, Morelia spilota mcdowelli.
is a very timid, and very jumpy female.

Previous owner said that she used to crap on him all the time, so he never got her out, which could explain the behavior, as Khan, the male I bought with her, is the opposite.

Although jumpy, she, like Khan and Scarlet, has never bitten.
She is roughly 2 years old, and although not the best looking Coastal, or the best to handle, she is the most interesting to watch.

She loves to explore her cage, my bed, the lounge room my pillows etc.
She seems to be the most active Python I own, and that I have actually ever seen.

I try and get her out the most, as I am trying to calm her down and get used to being touched.
It is not just humans, Khan will also scare her at times.

She has gotten better since I have started to place 1-2 day old shirts, which I have worn in the tank before I wash them. I am hoping this human scent will help her along.

She now lives in a 5X2X2 melamine enclosure, a few hides, natural rocks and Breeders choice as a substrate.
I don't think she is to exited about her new enclosure, she has not moved from the hide since I put her in there, (two days ago) given time she will explore though... I hope.
